Product Description
Petrokem Epoxy Marine Paint is a high quality two component non-toxic epoxy paint developed to meet the increasing demand for high quality anticorrosive painting systems and is specially designed for highly corrosive industrial and coastal environments. It is recommended as an anticorrosive and decorative coating for the protection and maintenance of metal structures, concrete floors, ships, fiber glass, wooden boats, metal pipelines, bridges, off shore structures, radial gates, chemical plants, beverage factories, oil installations, storage tanks & house hold applications etc. The product is also recommended for swimming pools, ponds, concrete and cement water tanks etc, as a decorative protective coating. The product once fully cured is resistant to salty sea spray, abrasion and other highly corrosive aliments. The product will protect and decorate all metal, wood, concrete, cement, Fiberglas and many more surfaces.
Product Application
- Mix thoroughly equal volumes of Petrokem Epoxy marine paint resin and hardener. Five minutes of thorough mixing is recommended. If too thick for the application use Petrokem Epoxy Thinner to thin the product. Use the mixture within 1-3 hours.
- Apply the mixture to the surface by using a suitable spray equipment (at 40-60psi) or brush /roller. The paint could be applied to the bare metal or use Petrokem epoxy iron oxide primer or 3Dot® 2K Auto Primer as the prime coat and then apply petrokem marine paint as the second coat for best protection against corrosion. Allow the paint to dry at least for 24 hrs before using the surface. Another coat could be applied after 8 hrs if required. The coating will gain its full toughness in 72 hrs.
